Maruca designs and creates artsy fabric bags that are unique, functional and stylish. The process begins in Colorado with our fabric designs, which are done twice a year. Finalized patterns are sent to Jacquard fabric mills located in the USA and are woven to Maruca’s specifications. Over 100 color choices are created for each pattern. The woven fabrics are then cut into color swatches and worked into a variety of unique pattern combinations, which is part of the creative process that makes Maruca bags so magical. Using the wide variety of Maruca bag patterns, the fabric is then hand cut into the individual pieces that make up each of our bags. Our custom-woven straps, zippers and cut fabric pieces are then bundled together and handed off to highly talented local sewers who hand sew every Maruca bag with loving care and the utmost attention to detail. The finished bags are then made available to you, our loyal Maruca customers, in select retail stores and museums across the USA.
